Combine diced room temperature butter, cottage cheese, flour and 2 teaspoons of salt. Knead into a dough, then leave for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator.

On a well floured surface roll out the dough into 1 cm thickness, and cut into desired shapes.

Spread them over a lined baking sheet, brush with some egg wash and sprinkle them either wih coarse sea salt, sesame seeds or black cumin seeds.

Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C/428°F for 13-15 minutes until golden.
