Chocolate Miracle Cake

This cake is a decadent and luscious treat that is a true chocolate miracle in the world of desserts.

It’s a chocolate lover's dream come true, with a layer of moist and rich chocolate sponge cake enveloped in a velvety smooth chocolate ganache. The magic lies in its simplicity, as this cake requires no fancy techniques or ingredients.

It is the perfect balance of sweet and indulgent, with each bite leaving you in awe of its heavenly taste.

 

Melt together butter and chocolate and let it cool down to room temperature.

Separate the egg whites from the yolks.

Beat the egg whites into stiff peaks and set aside.

Mix egg yolks with granulated sugar for 2 minutes until foamy, then add the butter and chocolate and mix until combined.

Whisk the flour with the baking powder and add to the batter. Mix briefly.

Finally fold in the egg whites until just combined, then pour the batter into a lined baking mould and bake at 180°C/356°F for about 30 minutes.

Heat up heavy cream for the ganache and pour over chopped dark chocolate. Leave it for 30 seconds, then stir until melted. Pour it over the sponge cake and refrigerate overnight.
