Beef Burgers

When it comes to classic comfort food, few dishes can rival the timeless appeal of a juicy beef burger.

And the history of burgers is a fascinating journey that begins with the ancient civilizations of Rome and China creating a meat patty, seasoned with various spices. However, it was not until the late 19th and early 20th centuries that burgers, as we know them today, gained prominence.

However, the history of the hamburger is quite unclear!

Evidence suggests that either the United States or Germany (the city of Hamburg) was the first country where two slices of bread and a ground beef patty were combined into a "hamburger sandwich" and sold. There is some controversy over the origin of the hamburger because its two basic ingredients, bread and beef, had been prepared and consumed separately for many years in both countries before their combination. Shortly after its creation, the hamburger quickly included all of its currently typically characteristic trimmings, including onions, lettuce, and sliced pickles.

But, all in all, we’re all lucky it was once invented!

Made from high-quality ground beef and seasoned to perfection, the beef patty is grilled to a succulent, flavourful center. Nestled within a soft, toasted bun, the beef patty is then adorned with an array of toppings, from crisp lettuce and bacon to tangy pickles and melted cheese.

The satisfaction of sinking your teeth into a well-crafted beef burger is unparalleled, as the rich, savory flavours intermingle with the textures of the accompanying condiments.

Mix minced meat, garlic and onion powder, smoked paprika, chopped parsley, a teaspoon of vegeta and pepper. Combine well, then divide into 2 parts and shape into 1 cm thick patties.

On sunflower oil grill the patties for 4 minutes on each side on medium heat. Once they are done, turn off the heat, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover with a lid. Let it sit for a minute while the cheese melts.

In another pan fry the bacon for a minute or two until crispy, then remove from the pan and toast the sliced burger buns.

To make the sauce mix sour cream, mayonnaise and minced garlic, and spread it lightly over both sides of the buns.

Assemble the burger by placing the beef patty on top of the bottom side of the bun, then add bacon, lettuce and sweetcorn.
