Apple Carob Squares

Carob, derived from the pods of the carob tree, is a versatile and nutritious ingredient that has been used for centuries. With a natural sweetness that resembles chocolate but with a more subtle flavour profile, carob is often used as a healthier alternative to cocoa powder. Rich in fiber, antioxidants, and calcium, carob is not only a delicious addition to baked goods and confections, but also offers numerous health benefits.

Its mild, slightly sweet taste makes it a popular choice for flavouring beverages and desserts, while its nutritional content adds a boost of goodness to any recipe.

And this dessert is no different! These squares perfectly combine the natural sweetness of apples with the rich, cocoa-like flavour of carob. They have a moist, dense texture that is complemented by the tender chunks of fresh apple scattered throughout.

The warm, comforting aroma of cinnamon infuses each bite, creating a experience that evokes the feeling of cozy autumn days.

Whether enjoyed as a comforting snack with a cup of tea or shared with loved ones during festive gatherings, these apple carob squares are a delightful expression of seasonal flavours and a perfect way to indulge in a mostly guilt-free, nourishing dessert.
